Online booking

Enabling online booking

Enabling online booking means that your clients will be able to view your scheduled group classes and available slots for appointments, and book a spot or slot.
This is either done through a web page or the Bobclass Self Service app. Both come out of the box with the Bobclass studio app.
You can enable and configure the online booking in Settings > Online booking > Booking page
The booking page settings have the following switches and fields:
  • Classes tab: Enables a tab on your online booking page where your scheduled group classes are shown, which can be booked by your clients.
  • Appointments tab: Enables a tab on your online booking page where your available slots for appointments are shown, which can be booked by your clients.
  • Segments for appointments: This sets when appointments can start, for example at the top of the hour, or every half or quarter of a hour.
  • Store tab: Enables a tab on your online booking page where your clients can purchase your packages, memberships or retail products. These are defined in the settings, and require a connection with Stripe.
  • Book button: Enables this when you want your clients to book your group classes. Disable it when you only want them to view.
  • Requires approval: Enable this if you want all booking requests to go through your approval. Disable this and only new clients and clients without packages need your approval, all others bookings will be approved automatically.
  • Remaining spots: Display the number of spots available in group classes.
  • Cancellation window: The amount of time your clients have before class to still cancel.
  • Email CC: Enter your email address here if you want to be informed by email when a booking request comes in. Note that this may flood your inbox. We recommend to enable app notifications instead.
  • Web page link: This is the web page that comes with Bobclass. You can share it with your clients so they can view, book and buy what you offer.

Accepting incoming booking requests

Incoming booking requests from your clients will appear on the Requests tab on the Inbox page. A red badge icon appears on the bottom navigation bar where there is one or more request waiting for you to approve.
You can click the requests to see more details. Note the icons on the left of the request: where is says
  • The "New" icon means that this client is unknown to you (there is no match in your client list).
  • The smiley icon means the client is known (there is a match in your client list).
Note that matching an incoming request is done depending on the booking method:
When a client books through the web page, then the matching is done using their email address. It is important that clients always use the same email address otherwise the system may treat them as a different (unknown) client.
When a client books through the Self Service App, then the matching is done using their mobile phone number. This is more precise, as the client logs in to the Self Service app using their phone number and can therefore be matched with certainty.
