NEW APP VERSUS OLD APP

The new app misses features that I was used to in the old app!

True. We learned the hard way and will admit: We launched too early and the new app still misses some features. We spent 4 months of beta testing with 10 active customers, but that did not reveal all the (amazing) things you do with the Bobclass app.
Rest assured, the new app is just the beginning and we are working hard to get feature parity by the end of December (2025) - maybe first week of January. The bigger items are listed on the  roadmap . Smaller items and bugs are tracked internally, just ask  rob@bobclass.com  if you believe something important is not in the plan or you caught a bug. Bear with us, it is going to be great.
We plan to launch improved versions a few times per week so make sure to auto-update to always have the latest.

I am a bit lost in the new app, can you help me?

Sure. Just let me know what specific thing you want to do, and we will show you how. We typically record a video message, or share screenshots. Just ask  support@bobclass.com .
Please make sure you are specific, and add details, maybe even screenshots or a recording. So rather than "I am not able to book a client", it's better to ask "I want to add a client to an already booked class. The client's name is Marcy Bolt and the class is Yoga on Monday at 10 AM".

The new app seems slower than the old app!

The new app is by no means slow and probably performs better than most cloud business software in the market. This said, the old app was extraordinary fast because it ran an offline database, which meant your data could be accessed directly without internet connection. It had a sophisticated synch mechanism to upload changes later to the cloud, and then synch it to other devices. However beautiful this technology is, it came with an important drawback: Sometimes multiple changes were made offline at the same time, potentially leading to synchronization issues. That is why we moved to a new technical architecture - to make sure your data is always in sync, reliable and there is only one source of truth.
Rest assured, after using the new app for a few hours, it will become faster as data will be cached. Also, over time, we will optimize the technology to make it even snappier.

CALENDAR

My calendar view does not look good. Can I customize it?


Yes. Go to the calendar week view, and click the wheel icon to go into the calendar settings.
Here you can choose:
Days
  • 3, 5 or 7 day column layout
  • Hour size = the height of the cells. Set it to large if you want to see more information in the cell
Cells
  • What to display inside a cell. You can show/hide and move position clicking the arrow. You can set participants , activity, comment, location and instructor.
Calendar
  • Time format: 12 or 24 hours time format
  • Grid: 1 hour, 30 minutes, 15 minutes = when your classes can start if you click an empty spot in the calendar

Can I make the calendar shorter? Now it shows 24 hours which I don't need.

Not yet. This will be added soon, see  roadmap . We plan to make it adapt automatically based on your working days.

Can I switch from 12 hour format to 24 hour (or vice versa)?

Yes, in the  calendar settings . Note that in other parts in the app, such as class details and confirmation messages, this is not localized yet. Coming soon.

How can I import my calendar?

Not yet. This will be added soon, see  roadmap .

How can I block hours or a full day?

Create an activity called "block" (or so) and schedule it for the instructor that is not available. If it is more permanent, you should change their  working days and hours .
More advanced blocking and full day blocking and events will be added later, see  roadmap .

SCHEDULING

Where did the 'Working Days' setting go?

This is now mapped to the instructor. So in Studio setup, if you pick an instructor, you can set their working days and hours.

When scheduling a class with an instructor, I only see a few activities

This is most likely because of the mapping of the instructor to the activities, so what they are allowed to teach. In Studio setup, if you pick an instructor, you can set the activity mapping.

When scheduling a class, I don't see the instructor listed

This is most likely because of the mapping of the instructor to the activities, so what they are allowed to teach. In Studio setup, if you pick an instructor, you can set the activity mapping.
Another reason can be that the scheduled day or time falls outside the working days/hours of the instructor. In Studio setup, if you pick an instructor, you can set when they work.

Can I add someone to a series of classes at once?

This will be added soon, see  roadmap .

Can I delete multiple classes at once?

This will be added soon, see  roadmap .

Can I remove a client from a series of classes?

This will be added soon, see  roadmap .

How can I schedule a class in parallel to an existing one?

Select a class, click the action menu and click Duplicate , this will create a class in the same time slot as the original one. You need to select a different instructor of course, as they can only teach one activity at the time.
Alternatively, you first set the instructor selector in the top right of the calendar view, and then create the class.

MESSAGING

How can I send confirmation messages?

If you go deeper in the settings (Online bookings > Messaging) you can enable it for the different event triggers. You can also select how to send it
  • WhatsApp (new!), SMS, Email or Ask every time (show a system popup asking how to share)

WhatsApp is not working for me

First, check that your device has WhatsApp installed. It uses the app on your device, so that needs to be installed and configured properly.
Second, make sure the clients have a valid mobile phone number. Ideally, format them with the + country code, so example for Spain would be +34 666777888.
Third, on some devices, if the WhatsApp app has not been used for a while, it goes to sleep in the background, and when Bobclass calls it, it may not respond immediately. It's a bug we'll look into.

Messages are sent one by one. Where did the group-email option go?

It's not there, yet. We went individual first because WhatsApp does not permit mass-messaging from an app. This said, email should be fine at some point, it is logged as a ticket already.

How can I send reminders?

Select a class, click the action menu and click Send reminder

In the checkout, I can't find the "Use someone's else package"

OTHER

The new app does not run on my iPad, Mac or iPhone

Before anything, please be aware that the new Bobclass app is an advanced piece of software that requires decent hardware. As a rule of thumb, anything younger than 5 years should work great. Here is the more detailed guidance:
  • iPad: If it is not supported by Apple anymore, then it will not run Bobclass properly either. See full list  here .
  • Mac: The optimized Mac version only runs on Apple Silicon, which are the M1-M5 chips. You can check on your device by clicking the Apple icon in the top left > About.
