Introducing The New Bobclass
What Is the New Bobclass?
We’re excited to unveil the New Bobclass—a complete redesign of the Bobclass studio app, rebuilt from the ground up, technically as well as visually. The new app will supersede the old app and becomes available for existing customers in the first weeks of November for iOS and Android.
Why a New App?
The current app has served well over the years, but its technical limitations made it harder to:
- Add new features
- Support new use cases
- Deliver the best experience for you and your clients
- Serve Android users, which were simply not supported
So we went back to the drawing board and created a brand-new app, which comes with major improvements and paves the way for the future. We are deeply invested in expanding on top of this new platform.
What’s New & Better?
Here’s what you can expect from the New Bobclass:
- Rock-solid reliability: Instant, consistent data, no more sync issues or delays.
- Android support: Bobclass will also run on Android, with exactly the same features as iOS. Note that the Android availability is a few weeks after the iOS/MacOS/iPadOS launch, as we want to make sure our existing customers get migrated successfully first.
- Streamlined interface: New icons, colors and navigation, to help you work faster and smarter.
- Future-ready foundation: We’re laying the groundwork for features you’ve been asking for—reminders, messaging (including WhatsApp) integration, waiting lists, push notifications, and more. See detailed roadmap here .

Is My Data Safe?
You can continue using your existing data.
Yes. Your calendar, client info, sales data, and everything else will carry over seamlessly.
While the interface will look different (and better!), your data remains intact. You might need a little time to get used to the new layout, but we’re here to help. If you get stuck, just email me directly: rob@bobclass.com .
What About iPad or Mac?
If your Mac has an Apple Silicon architecture (the M-series CPU), then you can can run the New Bobclass. If you are unsure, go to the "About" page in the device settings where you can see the CPU that your Mac has. When it's "Apple M" then you can go to to the Mac App Store and download it.
For iPad, any reasonably recent (let's say less than 5 years old) model will be able to run the New Bobclass. Go to the App Store and download it.
Will It Have the Same Features?
Yes, and we plan to add much more new functionality. This said, by early November, we want to focus on getting the core functionality right, and postponed a few functionalities such as the walk-in flow and importing external calendars. We will add this in the weeks after initial launch, so please bear with us. It will come with some important improvements, based on feedback from customers. One small thing (requested by many customers) that we already added is the ability to manually share a reminder message by WhatsApp (or whatever your device permits). It uses the parametrized template in the settings.
Will my clients be impacted?
The existing Bobclass Self Service ( Android , iOS ) and the Bobclass Staff ( Android , iOS ) apps will continue to be fully functional and available for your clients and staff without changes. They are up for redesign next year.
Will Pricing Change?
No. Pricing for the New Bobclass will remain the same as it is now. View full pricing details by country here .
Keep in mind that if you are on a monthly plan through your Apple ID, you can always change to a yearly plan directly with us with a 20% (Studio) or 15% (Pro) discount. Just let us know.
